George Bowman (aka DJ RANA) is a music professional committed to entertaining audiences large and small. His attention to detail and customer-focus make him a leading DJ and Master of Ceremonies.
George's passion is providing music that makes events unique and memorable. From intimate venues to large facilities, George is committed to keeping guests entertained (and on the dance floor!). His roster of successful events includes school dances, birthday/anniversary parties, weddings, holiday parties, and events at local clubs. George also enjoys contributing to the success of fundraising and social events for nonprofits, including The Arc of the Virginia Peninsula and The Junior Womens Club of Williamsburg.
George has created strong relationships with local bands and artists and has booked bands at local venues and coordinated fundraising events. George also has experience running sound for local bands.
George is inspired by all genres of music, from oldies to contemporary mixes. Georges personal favorites include Dave Matthews Band and house music (techno). His interactions with various clients have allowed him to introduce them to new music, while making sure their favorites are played. He also enjoys learning of new artists from his clients.
George is committed to not only providing music for events, but also to creating a fun atmosphere. He serves as Master of Ceremonies at many events, getting guests involved in the events activities. He also uses lights and other equipment to complement his music and make events run seamlessly with studio quality sound.
His extensive equipment includes:
•Serato
•Digital Crown amps
•Vast array of LED lights
•Misc. effects (smoke, fog, etc.)
While not rocking houses at gigs, George is beautifying and building them! He works full-time as a Project Manager at a leading home improvement company and is proud to help homeowners transform their houses.
